Mandatory Qualifications

 

a. Ten (10) years' experience administering and tuning large scale (>1TB) DB2 LUW UDB(8.x,9.1, 9.5 and 9.7) and Oracle(9.x and 10.x) databases environments

b. Expert knowledge of database administration duties including installation, configuration, performance tuning and optimization, database maintenance, troubleshooting, business continuity (Replication) and disaster recovery (HADR/HACMP).

c. Five (5) years' experience of AIX operating system.

d. Five (5) years' experience in project technical lead or management positions, familiar with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), facilitation and conduct of design and code walk-through.

e. Five (5) years' experience in analyzing, designing and implementing successful system solutions to business problems in a development environment.

f. Prior working experience of administering and tuning Microsoft (MS) SQL server.

g. Expert knowledge of PL/SQL and Shell script programming.

h. Prior working knowledge of OPNET AppInternal, HADR and HACMP.

i. Prior working experience of HP and EMC SAN storage system.

j. Prior working experience of EMC Networker backup software.

k. Prior working experience of large scale Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) database conversion.

l. Prior working experience of programming in J2EE, Java Servlet, Castor, Java Struts/Spring.

m. Prior working experience of programming using Etract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

 

a. Prior working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

b. Prior working experience with Websphere and Weblogic.

c. Prior working experience with Enterprise Scheduling Software.

d. Prior working experience with programming such as; C/C++, COBOL, NET and JAVA. Prior experience with CDCR enterprise applications such as Business Information System (BIS).

e. Experience with data modeling and query tools such as Erwin, DB2 Control Center/Data Studio, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Quest Central and Toad.

f. Experience with the Rational suite of software development products such as ClearCase/Quest.
