Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ

Position:SQL Server DBA (Production Support) (1817343)

Duration: 6-12 months contract, Mt. Laurel, New Jersey

 Initial contract 6 months with high expectation of extension

Webcam will be required

 

Requirements:

• SQL Server database administration (ITIL processes)

• Responsible for database Back-up / restore

• Responsible for database performance tuning

• Responsible for periodic health-checks, etc

• Responsible for database availability

• Responsible for maintaining and periodic testing the DR solutions and sites       

Additional Job Details:           

MANDATORY– • 3-7 years of experience working as SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 database administrator/architect in an enterprise environment with multiple database servers

• Experience in the planning and deployment of high-availability database environments (Clustering, Mirroring, Log-shipping).

• Experience in database replication.

• Experience in database performance tuning and process optimization.

• Availability for 24 x 7 support as needed.

• Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, with little or no direct supervision.

• Sound knowledge on ITIL processes. DESIRABLE SKILLS –

• Knowledge on Sybase database administration is a plus
