Job Title: VOIP Tester
Duration:2+ year contract
Location: Dallas, TX.
This is for a Customer Voice over IP (VoIP) Interoperability Verification Services tester.
This position requires interfacing at a technical level with Verizon marketing and sales teams, Verizon technical staff, and existing and potentially new Verizon wholesale and retail VoIP customers. The position will be actively engaged in guiding the customer's technical staff through the Systems Integration Testing (SIT) Interoperability Lab Verification processes, working with these customers in the VoIP connectivity process, providing guidance on test execution, and verification of test results which could lead to eventual recommended acceptance of the customer's ability to meet Verizon's VoIP services guidelines.
The position will learn and engage in the following:
- Review submitted VoIP call traces to identify incompatibility issues discovered with customer devices.
- Provide Daily test status to Verizon Sales, Marketing as well as Customer personnel.
- Become familiar with RFC 3261 and related SIP RFC's to assist in SIP protocol troubleshooting.
- Become familiar with IP addressing, sub-netting and TCP/UDP protocols to assist in network troubleshooting.
- Become familiar with IPSec encapsulation protocol and VPN configuration to assist in IPSec troubleshooting.
Job Requirments
- 1 -3 years of experience in quality assurance/testing.
- Requires strong verbal and written communications skills as well as exceptional customer service skills
- Understanding in various network & switching technologies
- Posses understanding & visibility into end to end product offering and architecture.
- Knowledge in analyzing SIP call traces.
- Has natural ability to be detail oriented and to be a problem solver.
- Minimum BS/BA degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent Engineering Stream.

Job Title: Oracle Application Database Developer/DBA
Location: Dallas, TX.
Duration: 1+ year contract
Oracle Application Database Developer/DBA
Performance Expert in multiple areas (Oracle/UNIX) to support application/Oracle performance issues in UNIX, Application and Oracle. The DBA should have experience working on large and heavily used environments that work in various configurations of storage, system, and database.
Expert in PL/SQL, unix shell coding.
Monitor & tune the Oracle Database and application / SQL performance - Monitor application performance against UNIX machines (batch, online, and database boxes)
Validate database & system configuration and health from performance aspect - Optimize jobs/processes to run efficiently.
Identify possible bottlenecks and provide resolution including implementation plan
Join outage calls and provide multistep resolution plans - Provide tuning recommendations for improvements to development and other teams.
Oracle/SQL deep analysis, provide recommendations and follow up with various teams.
Participate in new design meetings to identify possible bottlenecks and provide recommendations
Application design review and consult to assure a scalable design with good performance
Capabilities to learn and move between different environments and applications
Planning and documenting progress of work on the various projects
Required: -
Oracle 11G / SQL monitoring and tuning skills
Proficient in UNIX monitoring identifying performance issues
Experience in development
PL/SQL coding is a must.
Very Good communication skills - Able to work effectively in high pressure situations
Ability to work independently and lead performance initiatives
Desirable:
System V packaging experience
11g RAC
Data warehouse setup and performance tuning
Dataguard setup
