Role: UI/UX Developer

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 6 months+

Start Date: Immediate

 

Mandatory Skills:

 

7-8  years of industry experience creating and rolling out web applications (primarily front end) 1.      Advanced Javascript 2.      JQuery, AJAX 3.      JSON , XML, XHTML/DHTML 4.      CSS, Dojo, dijit , HTML5. 5.      Developing UI Components for Rich Internet Applications 6.      Subversion ,Eclipse 7.      Web Services 8.      API Documentation 9.      Working  experience  in UI performance  tuning 10.  Ability to solve complex problems

Desired:

1.      Prior Cisco Experience

2.      Firebug, Jslnt, YSlow web develop tools

3.      Hudson , Maven

4.      Flash/FLEX knowledge a plus

5.      Portlet UI development and WSRP (Liferay)

6.      SOAP/web services/REST APIs/server side Java experience a plus

7.      Java server side understanding

Tools being used: Rally, Eclipse, Maven, Hudson, JavaDoc, Jmeter, Jtest, Jprobe, Selenium, Subversion

 

Responsibility –

 

1.      Role is primarily to own and be responsible for Front end UI development activities.

2.      Covers all aspects of application development  end to end starting with analysis, design, code, build, and deployment thru different IT infrastructure environments

3.      Posses excellent engineering practices, quality code reviews, unit testing and performance design

4.      Should be excellent team member with ability to display great teamwork

5.      Ability to work on multiple tasks at a time.

6.      Excellent understanding of Web 2.0/ Web applications.

7.      Should be a quick learner and self-starter.

8.      Proactively create reusable code.

9.      Adhere and Review Code Quality.

10.  Create Documentation.

11.  Experience on working with the dual shore model will be a plus.

12.  Excellent communication skills.

13.  Prior Cisco experience is good to have.
