Title- Linux Admin
Location-- Dallas, TX
Description- a. Good hands on experience on Red Hat Linux Administration.
b. Provide implementation services for hardware installation, OS Builds, Satellite Channel configurations, kick start installation , etc. for Linux, Network, and Application Delivery, and Security ( including AD Authentication)
c. Must have good understanding of Satellite installation and channel creations, and be knowledgeable on high available/redundant Red Hat architecture
d. Update process documentation for new platform support. (Deployments, patching, build standards, monitoring, etc.)
e. Strong problem solving skills
f. Good Hardware Knowledge on HP and Blade Servers.
• Secondary Skills
a. Strong bash and Perl scripting skills with automation experience
b. Exposure to PCI compliance tasks a plus.
c. Security/Network understanding
d. Good Communication skills
e. Working knowledge of other flavors of UNIX
Certifications:
Must be RedHat certifications (RHCE) on current 5/6 versions)
Title-Application Support Consultant
Location-- Danbury, CT
Description- • The Job profile is for application support.
• The application is deployed in multiple environment Linux and Wintel. Should be proficient to navigate folders and able to perform file operations like opening, editing and should be able to perform deployments in either environment
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Should have exposure to any programing language
• The application has application servers. Should be able to troubleshoot and handle the server to identify and resolve any problem
• The role requires to support the application, should be able to troubleshoot the problems and will require maintenance and deployments, reboot applications / servers.
• Identify operational issues when they occur and assist in their resolution.
• Should have experience in SQL writing simple queries
• Understanding of scripting language and able to write simple scripts (shell, DOS, VBScript etc)
• Basic network knowledge and troubleshooting skills (ping, trace route, telnet to a specific port)
• Basic understanding of Load Balancers and firewall
• Should have Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• AS the project is being supported 24X7, should be willing to work in 24/7 shift model
Desirable Skills
Experience working in Cloud environments (Amazon Web Services or Verizon Terremark preferred)
