They would be sitting with the existing team, mirroring their work, and rapidly gaining a good understanding of the environment, document day to day activities and in the case of displacement or job change step in and fill the void within the area.
Responsible for the design, coordination, and development of data warehouse solutions on a global landscape.
• Designed and coordinated the development and implementation efforts for a global insurance reporting project which provided a suite of insurance reporting dashboards to the business community. The coordination of the global project team included report developers from the Netherlands, business users and testers from Ireland, and the ETL developers from the United States.
• Responsible for a multi data warehousing integration and content validation process used by the corporate company for credit risk monitoring (Basel compliancy). The global process spans five countries and integrates six data warehouses.
• Completed technical, process, and production support training throughout the global Business Intelligence team which emphasized a standardized support methodology. Also, provided technical guidance to ensure the use of ETL best practices.
• Composed a set of process and procedure guideline documents used within the global data warehousing team which standardized common practices. Standardized documents include: A process support guide, standard development review (SDR) document, project system development life cycle (SDLC) document, standard test document and implementation document.
• Responsible for building a credit scoring engine used by credit and decision analysts as an aid in determining customer credit worthiness. The Data Stage process eliminated the services of a third party vendor and saved the company more than $100,000 dollars. Solely responsible for the requirements gathering, process design, database design, development, organization of user acceptance testing, and implementation.
• Designed and built the interface and data storage process that supports the customer service call management system, resulting in a reduction of customer service representative interactions. Keys aspect was the delivery of quality and timely data that ensures accurate data being presented to the customer.
• Reengineered the companies Terrorist Tracking Process using Datastage from the original Visual Basic process which reduced run-time from two hours to less than three minutes.
