Sr. Applications Integrator - Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Applications Integrator who will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day design and development of integrations using IBM CastIron middleware. Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware is a plus.

 

Development Responsibilities

·         Analyze business/functional requirements, review the solution architecture, and develop the technical architecture and detailed design

·         Develop and test the integration solution individually or in collaboration with onsite and offshore development resources from external delivery partners.

·         Guide development resources, perform code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural standards, guidelines, best practices, and meet quality standards

·         Deploy the solution on a high-availability shared service production environment

·         Understand and comply with the established software development life cycle methodology

·         Establish and enhance technical guidelines and best practices for the integration development team

·         Keep current with industry technologies and tools in the integration domain

Administration Responsibilities

·         Design, build, tune, install, configure and troubleshoot integrations with CastIron platform.

·         Provide hands-on system administration, system maintenance and operations support of CastIron appliance on development, test and high-availability production environments.

·         Provide guidance to the partner onsite/offshore operations support team in monitoring, measuring and reporting the system health, performance and uptime metrics

·         Perform periodic system administration tasks including evaluating/reviewing, installing and configuring new software releases, upgrades and patches.

Skills, Education and Experience

·         Proficient in building and deploying integration solutions using CastIron or any other industry standard integration technologies

·         Experienced in building integration solutions using Oracle AIA framework for Oracle ERP.

·         Proficient in administration and maintenance of CastIron or any other industry standard integration technologies

·         Knowledge of installation and migration from CastIron to Oracle 11g SOA Suite on Linux is nice-to-have.

SR. UNIX/LINUX ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION : SUNNYVALE, CA

Job responsibilities:

·         Administer complex Unix-based systems in a multi-tiered architecture, generally from the operating system or application level and up.

·         Assist with debugging of issues in both the production environment as well as the staging environment

Job Qualifications:

·         Understanding of common internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, etc...) and ways to troubleshoot these

Job Description :

 

SUMMARY: This role's primarily responsibility is to empower our end user community with a user adoption competency center specializing in MicroStrategy functional capabilities with direct business applicability. Competency center services provided are training, self-service reporting, dynamic dashboard creation and visualization best practices.  This role provides the user community with a single point-of-contact for all their training and support needs.  An ideal candidate has proven BI Tool expertise with previous end user adoption success and strong business acumen demonstrated by effective BI Tool development techniques.

 

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Drive BI Platform User Adoption strategies and plans
  • Support Customer Management Lead with insights, recommendations, and content to market the adoption team and build customer buy-in
  • Demonstrate expertise in MicroStrategy Web Professional and Visual Insights solutions
  • Review OLAP and semantic layer deliveries for end user effectiveness, specifically performance and use case compatibility.
  • Define appropriate license type and capabilities to end user needs.
  • Designing, Developing, and Delivering Training via onsite classes, videos, or webinars
  • Maintaining customized training content provided by consultants
  • Partnering with BI Development, Production Support, & Power Users to resolve issues or problems quickly
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst and drive Power User and non-power user adoption with best design practices building reports, documents, dashboards, and mobile deliveries
  • Grow User Adoption by evaluating user skill levels and/or data knowledge gaps
  • Hold and lead power user forums driving power user role, responsibilities and capabilities

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of MicroStrategy Web Professional, Desktop, Document, Dashboard, Mobile and Visual Insights development as typically obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology science or a related field.
  • Experience with dimensional models, building semantic and application layers in MicroStrategy or similar tool.
  • Provided training, demonstrations and facilitated customer requirements sessions which included solution overviews, iterative development reviews, and recommend alternate solutions.
  • Identified poor performance or customer usability issues; provided recommendations to improve user adoption and business data insights.
  • Created best practices for BI delivery lifecycle, including customer rollout and user adoption monitoring.
  • Worked with team and/or manager establishing process improvements, operational reporting measurements, and executive communication messaging.
  • Demonstrated BI capabilities to end users, including C-Suite.  Proven ability to tailor presentations based on the audience.
  • Must have sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify incumbent to work at the highest technical level on all phases of software development.  Four -six years of software development or experience in a related field is preferred.
  • A significant understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software development field is required.
  • Experience with the supervision or direction of other software development staff preferred.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above.
  • Must posses the ability to effectively communicate  with others, perform work in a team environment, and relay necessary information as appropriate.
