Position : Process and Product Quality Assurance Consultant

Location : Reston, VA. 

Duration:  5 months

 

Please note:  this position is not for a Software QA Engineer. Our client is looking for someone with process product quality assurance experience. Please do not submit software testers.

 

Related Skills & Other Requirements
• 5+ years experience in Process and Product Quality Assurance
• Flexibility and desire to quickly adapt to new methods, situations, and various requirements
• Working knowledge of project planning and tracking and other project management methodology tools
• Excellent group facilitation skills
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving ability
• Excellent communication (writing, speaking, presentation), Strong interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
• Solid organizational, time & task management skills
• Ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to travel (less than 10%)

 

Responsibilities include:
• Providing Quality Assurance support for the new project in collaboration with other Quality functions such as Quality Control, Vendor Quality Management.
• Working closely with Business Process Owners and Project Planning team in facilitating and identifying impacts/changes for the new project.
• Identifying the quality checks and validations for all the new changes/impacts.
• Ensuring that quality controls and supporting processes and procedures are in place and executed in a high-quality manner.
• Working closely with external operations vendors and staff to ensure that internal and external inter-vendor data flows are properly executed and appropriate data quality controls are developed and maintained.
• Creation of Quality Plan for the new project, updating and maintaining the contents of the Quality Plan based on information gathered from BPOs, Project Planning team and other Quality functions.
• Detailed review of project deliverables/outputs such as process documents, publications, requirements etc.
• Participate in project meetings and provide update on Quality activities and gather inputs/requirements for Quality team.
• Interacting with vendor Quality teams to ensure effective involvement/implementation of Quality tasks.
• Support project planning team and BPOs in identification and management of risks and provide Issue containment support.
