Position : Data Analyst/ Quality Control

Location : Reston, VA

Duration:  3- 6 months

Description :

Data Analyst with Quality Control experience for a contract opportunity in Reston, VA. 

1. The candidate is familiar with Oracle database and good at hands-on SQL queries.

2. The candidate is willing to perform production support, on-call duty and work off-hours if needed.

3. The candidate has good communication skills, he/she can interact with multiple groups for issue resolutions.

4. The candidate has Quality Control, data analysis background.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand, execute (as needed), and validate quality controls for all data flows between operational entities involved in processing related to all supported programs. These entities include internal departments such as Business Technology, Customer Service, and Financial Operations, Publications and Logistics as well as external vendors that perform services related to all programs.  Other entities will be added in the future as business needs dictate.
• Support the execution and validation of new and existing production Publications & Logistics and Registration and Test Administration data flow quality controls with a focus effectiveness and efficiency.
• Actively participate in detailed quality control definition, design and deployment planning within the organization and its vendors.
• Participate in the development, and validation, of the control standards necessary to ensure the successful completion of all Publications and Logistics and Registration and Test Administration functions.
• Execute a program for proactive periodic assessment of the effectiveness of the existing quality control inventory.  This program must meet the needs of affected business process owners, data content owners and the requirements of the Operations Quality Assurance group.
• Work with necessary technical support teams for investigation and resolution of production quality control failures that affect operations service delivery. 

Serve as representative to operational teams as needed for efforts related to quality control execution, validation and failure support in support of continuous improvement in quality control execution and validation.  This role involves working with business process owners, vendors, and supporting staff to ensure that quality control requirements are understood, effective, and efficient.
