Oracle DBA
Client: PJM Interconnection
Location: Norristown, PA
Duration: 6 months+
Skills and Requirements
· B.S. degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent work experience
· 2 years working experience with data replication tools (Oracle Stream, Golden Gate)
· 2 years working experience in Installation of RAC, ASM, and DataGuard.
· Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities
· Tuning individual SQL queries, database applications, and optimizing databases for performance
· Experience with data extraction, data export and import tools.
· Experience supporting ORACLE 10 G in an AIX/UNIX environment, Data Pump
· 5 years of relevant experience
· Real time working experience on Data Guard, RAC, ASM technologies.
· Experience with logical data modeling, including developing and maintaining data model diagrams (ERD), facilitating structured data modeling meetings
· Experience working in a highly available 24X7 database environment
· Strong customer and business focus
· Strong documentation and communications skills
Required Technical Skills:
· Experience with PL/SQL
· Experience working with very large databases
· Experience migrating database objects from development through test and into production environments
Preferred:
· ORACLE certification
· Experience working in a formal software system delivery methodology
