Position: - L3 Engineer – Network Appliances

Experience: - 6 Years – 10 Years

Number of Positions: - 01

Primary Location – Boise, ID

Responsibility –

The position is responsible for making changes to the company's global Network and DNS/DHCP infrastructure. You will analyze, interpret, and implement client requests for data network configuration changes. You will execute the changes under a set of structured and controlled network standards, policies, processes, and procedures that are required in order maintain demanding delivery and quality objectives. You will be part of business projects for improvements to existing processes and infrastructure.

The individual must display a broad understanding of internetworking technology principles with demonstrated expertise in Network Firewall, Network Loadbalancers and DNS/DHCP

Requirements –

-         Implement and manage Cisco PIX, ASA, FWSM and Checkpoint firewall technologies.

-         The engineer will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance and on-going technical support for Cisco and Checkpoint Firewalls.

-         Should have strong Knowledge on CISCO IOS Firewall technology and IOS Firewall implementation.

-         Knowledge on Access-list and configuration.

-         Supporting operations, procedures, and record-keeping related to firewall management, rules administration, and remote secure access (including VPNs) is required.

-         Candidates must have experience in a High Availability environment with the working knowledge on F5 load balancers and load balancing methods.

-         Strong knowledge on Cisco 3000 Series VPN Concentrators.

-         Strong knowledge in DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, IP Subnets.

-         Must have worked in large scale business environment consisting of more than 20+ DNS/DHCP servers/clusters.

-         Knowledge in TCP/IP and programming language.

-         Administration of DNS/DHCP delivery systems preferred.

-         Knowledge of routing and switching for fault analysis in the network, sound knowledge in VLAN configuration and STP.

-         Should have good knowledge on ACS, TACACS and Radius implementations.

-         Working knowledge in TCP/IP and PERL programming language.

-         Should have working experience in Linux and UNIX environment

-         Must have knowledge on ITIL environment and Best practices.

-         Support client's normal business hours, and on-call rotation.

-         Should be ready for 24X7.

-         Excellent written and verbal communication skills..

Skills Required:

-         Basic understanding of networking/data communication concepts – administration experience preferred.

-         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams.

-         Logical thought process and ability to learn new systems, concepts, and procedures

-         Candidates will also be responsible for managing technical escalations, performance tuning and outage.

-         Ability to work in a remote setting with geographically diverse team

-         Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications

-         Experience with Infoblox DNS appliance will be preferable.

-         CCNA or CCNP certification is preferred.
