Title : Senior Financial Analyst with Hyperion planning

Location:  Goleta , CA

Duration : Full time with client

 

The Sr. Financial Analyst reports to the Director of FP&A. This role will interface directly with our technical systems team (IT) and financial operations team (BI) in order to build and enhance our financial planning systems. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst will coordinate with various departments to understand current and upcoming product offerings or business models to build analytical environments, as well as guide in operational and systems planning.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Manage the daily operations and system administration of Oracle Hyperion Planning and ESSBASE

·         Lead and oversee data integrity, including period end audits, and data tie outs between Hyperion, Oracle and the Data Warehouse and coordinate inter- system issue/variance resolution

·         Manage Workday to Hyperion interface and data loads

·         Coordinate with internal customers and design new ESSBASE cubes in order to solve planning gaps

·         Develop reports in Financial Reporting Studio

·         Conduct and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and create testing scripts

·         Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate processes including reconciliation of data, reporting, and analysis.

·         Hyperion process lead for the annual budget process and quarterly forecast process as it relates to Hyperion

·         Create forms and calculation scripts

·         Manages the monthly system responsibilities related to month end close which includes (but not limited to) updating metadata and loading financial data to the Planning Application

·         Provides user support for Planning and Smartview

·         Provisions user access to Planning and maintains the security model

·         Prepares and maintains user documentation and training materials; trains and supports users.

·         Conducts scheduled training classes for new and existing Planning users

·         Supervises external contractors on a project basis

·         Ensures accuracy of foreign currency reporting through system set-up.

·         Develop and maintain constant currency reporting

·         Maintain charts of accounts structure to ensure a consistent model that supports business growth

·         CAPEX modeling

Education/Experience:

 

·         5+ years of FP&A and business systems experience.

·         5+ years of Hyperion Planning, ESSBASE, Oracle EBS experience

·         Master's degree in Finance or related field (preferred)

·         Bachelors in Finance, Statistics

 

Skills/Programs/Knowledge/Behavior:

 

·         Oracle Hyperion ESSBASE certification

·         Strong SQL skills

·         Report writing experience with Financial Reporting Studio and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

·         Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical users. Strong system management skills are required.
