Application Programmer

Responsibilities
· Design, develop, maintain and support enterprise applications in Java/J2EE, Mainframe and DB2 technologies.
· Interface with business and IT teams to understand and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
· Develop and execute quality unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
· Work with business teams to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testing.
· Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of software and application development.
· Adhere to all security, change control and client processes, tools and methodologies.
Note: The candidate must have the flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to include weekends, holidays, and off-hours.
Minimum Qualifications
· A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies development and support.
· Proven strong knowledge and experience with Development tools - Eclipse IDE, SVN/GIT, Spring/Struts/JPA/Hibernate, HTML/HTML5/CSS3, Web Services.
· Strong proven knowledge of relational DB, SQL skills.
· Proven strong analytical and debugging skills.
Strong healthcare industry knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
· A minimum of 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area with Java/J2EE technologies.
· A minimum of 8 years of experience in Eclipse IDE, SVN/GIT, Spring/Struts/JPA/Hibernate, HTML/HTML5/CSS3, Web Services.
· A minimum of 4 years of front-end integration experience working with development teams on the deployment of web based applications (Java).
· Experience working with Mainframe, DB2 and SQL Stored Procedures.
· Experience in managing Mainframe databases.
Proven ability to work with and build and maintain strong relationships with technical teams
