The Business Systems Analyst works as a liaison between the business area expert and the technical team in order to elicit, 

analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The 

Business Systems Analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends 

solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
 
The Business Systems Analyst facilitates in bringing multiple groups together to agree on project scope, and will be able to 

clearly document project scope using business terminology.  They ask questions and are active listeners during JAD sessions 

and research to gather information.  They use strong communication skills to conduct formal and informal presentations and 

run effective meetings. They can gather technical specification as well besides BRD.
