Net Suite Report Writer

Duration: 6+ month contract

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Creates, develops, plans, writes, documents and edits operational, financial reports. Conducts interviews with various users to gather data for documentation.  Researches and translates technical information into reports and supporting documents for nontechnical and technical users.

May document processes and specifications. Recommends formats responsive to customer requirements and system efficiency. Responsible for planning and developing a wide range of reports, including guides, tutorials and specifications.  Creates clear, concise, user-oriented documentation. 

 

 PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs research and analysis, information design, and writing reporting using NetSuite. Works closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements. Effectively uses appropriate authoring techniques, tools, standards, and processes to implement solutions. Leads documentation design and development effort for assigned projects. Train end users to create and write reports to become self-sufficient.

 

Specific job duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Identifying user goals and tasks.
  • Creating and implementing a documentation strategy and project plan
  • Coordinating, leading, and writing assigned reports.
  • Testing and documentation to ensure that it meets the users' needs.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend improvements to existing reports and processes.
  • Manage multiple reports at one time, and multiple end users/writers
  • Mentor and train less experienced writers in improving writing and usability skills.

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • 5 years NetSuite technical writing skills
  • Expert knowledge of NetSuite's database structure to ensure successful and swift report creation
  • Fluent SuiteScript functions
  • Expert experience using Advanced PDF to create reports
  • Experience with Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Word.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Demonstrated decisive leadership skills and strong ability to build credibility.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Stellar communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent self-starter able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction/supervision.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Extremely resourceful with proactive, competent interviewing and information gathering skills.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, time management & task estimating skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high-level of quality.
