Job Description:

An engineer who can troubleshoot network commands and analyze network configs

Applicable device experience: Cisco Routers / Switches, Juniper Routers / Switches

Also perform the tasks of a CCS engineer as listed below

Recommended: Juniper firewalls, Checkpoint firewalls

CCS Engineer duties

Expertise on Symantec Control Compliance Suit (CCS) Risk Management module. 

x Understanding on Compliance assessment of IT assets against pre-defined standards and custom standards. 

x Analysis of compliance scan results and errors. 

x Maintaining and Monitoring Risk Manager and the security objectives

x Support on Risk / Compliance Dashboard and Reporting module of CCS Manager - Scheduling, Monitoring, Running collection jobs, Working to product Monthly Executive Summary Report for customer specific environment,   asset imports, etc.

 

x Tool upkeep and management (user Administration, backup co-ordination, patch management, etc.)

x Perform configuration backup & restore process

x Provide infrastructure and support for backup

x Document known issues and solutions

x Keep tool support manual up-to-date

x Perform regular heath checks of tools & perform patch updates

x Co-ordination with vendor for problem resolution

x Creation of necessary reports working in co-ordination with account

x Services that require minor changes to existing solution (e.g. changing field names, adding more reports, changes to existing reports, add data to global value lists, add master data to applications , upload of input data in a batch)

x Run standard Risk & Compliance reports on Symantec Compliance Control Suite as directed by client

x Support Rollout of additional Symantec Critical System Protection (CSP) agents to additional servers

x Implement policy changes on Symantec CCS and CSP as directed by Client

x Services that are in the nature of basic administration of solution (e.g. add users & changing privileges, backup co-ordination, patch management)

Candidate should have minimum 5 years of strong IT security experience. 

x Should have good experience in Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS) tools support & management including Risk Assessment module/Reporting and Dashboards modules. 

x Should have strong knowledge on Risk and Compliance Assessment, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security technologies.

x Should have basic knowledge about Network Security, Firewalls, ACL s, Routers, Switches, MS Excel, report preparation & presentation.

 

Key skills:

·         Unix OS

·         File systems

·         Unix kernel

·         kernel objects

·         Applicable OS: Redhat / CentOS 5,6,7, Solaris
