Job Description

 

Required Technical Skill Set—

 

Basics of Windows Server Administration and Manual Patching

 

Must-Have

 

Knowledge on  Microsoft Patching (Manual Installation and patching through Tools like SCCM, WSUS)

 

Responsibility / Expectations from the Role

 

Download patches from Microsoft site and install Manually on the FTB servers

Escalate to Onsite team if any issue on the Patch installation

Update the Patch Document on a Daily basis

 

Details of The Role

 

Server Patching Role  is Responsible for Downloading Patches (Windows/ Office/SQL/Visual Studio) from Microsoft site and install it on the servers manually. Troubleshoot the issues in Patch installation  and Coordinate  with Onsite server Team till the issue gets resolved. Inform the Server Owner Before/After the Patch installation and confirm there were no issues post installation.
