Position: Smalltalk developer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 6+ months

Rate: $50-55/hr C2C

 

Job Description:

Required Skills:

 

·        A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent

·        Must have 3 + years' experience with Smalltalk programming and debugging/troubleshooting with Cincom Object Studio or equivalent

·        Must be a team-player with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment

·        Ability and experience multi-tasking and working effectively under pressure

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements

Preferred Skills:

·        Background in Credit Card Processing

·        Client server application development

·        Knowledge of Quality Center

·        Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

·        Specific job responsibilities for this position include: 

·        Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. 

·        Analyze highly complex business requirements, design and create written technical specifications for new and changes to existing computer platforms and applications

·        Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.

·        Develops highly complex original code, or provides coding direction to less experienced staff.

·        Writes new, and updates existing, documentation, departmental technical procedures, and support guides, including formal and informal cross training for production support staff for all production applications.

·        Meets all quality, security, and compliance requirements for supported applications, data, and transactions.

·        Works directly with business partners to understand requirements, resolve issues, and keep applications functioning.
