Role : Mainframe Developer
Location: Chicago,WI
JOB DESCRIPTION:
strong in CACF.
Responsible for supporting the IBM Mainframe system including z/OS operating system and related software and subsystems.
Will also be responsible for supporting third party vendor software utilities and packages.
Candidate must be highly proficient with all aspects of the z/OS operating system as well as administration and support of SMPE, TSO, VSAM file management, JCL, CACF, TCP/IP.
Candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and will often be a direct liaison with other IS development and infrastructure teams.
Other preferred skills and experience.
• Working knowledge of IBM hardware systems including storage, Z Series, VTS and tape libraries.
• Working knowledge of mainframe storage replication such as VTS Grid and Global Mirror
• Working knowledge of CA and Compuware mainframe related software.
• Working knowledge of DFSMS and DFHSM
• Working knowledge of RACF Security
• Ability to work in both individual and group settings.
• Some off-hour work required to support software implementations, upgrades and/or general maintenance.
