Position: Senior Tester(Automation)

Location: Johns Creek, GA

Duration: Contract or Full Time

 

Mandatory Skills: HP UFT or HP ALM, VB Script, SQL Queries , MS Excel, SOAP UI

 

Key Accountabilities:

·         Design,Develop,Implement and maintain test automation framework/scripts

·         Hands on development of the most complex portions of the Automation Framework Assist other Automation Engineers with technical issues they encounter

·         Demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others

·         Review broken scripts for suites and resolve/fix them.

·         Setup,configure,and maintain the automated testing environments

·         Contributes to the initial project design phase of a project(s),providing input on test plans,estimates,and test strategies for a project(s),working closely with client and colleagues

·         Leads the automation testing efforts in highly complex,multi-platform environments

·         Acts as key point of contact for assigned automation aspects of releases

·         Oversee all aspects of automation testing including establishing metrics,applying industry best practices and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are me

·         Deliver project assignments on time,within budget and with high quality

·         Participate in the full SDLC,including meetings,iterative development,estimations and design sessions

·         Creates the program level automation test plan for a project,conceiving of the testing strategy and approach

·         Serves as coach and mentor to junior automation engineers. Delegate tasks as appropriate

·         Leads the coding/configuration,testing,implementation and documentation of scripts and standards

·         Manages the creation of all automation test plans,detailed test plan,or phase level plans such as component,system,integration or user acceptance test plan. Drives the testing phase,ensuring QA/test staff executes effectively and adheres to all processes and standards

 

Skills Summary:

·         Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of technical skills, principles, practices and procedures of automation testing methodologies and a solid record of planning, designing and conducting a automation review and inspection

·         Leverages their expertise across the QA organization to lead enhancements of the automation process and raise the level of automation testing expertise in project

·         Extensive experience coordinating with offshore QA teams

·         Has experience with constructing the automation testing plans on multiple projects and technology platforms, estimating schedules, resources and dependencies

·         Stays abreast of industry practices and process maturity models

·         Develops strategies for improving test processes and recommends to management

·         Responsible for implementing best practices and ensuring compliance by other QA team members

·         Determines corresponding metrics for process improvement initiatives

·         Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and be able to communicate interact effectively with all levels of management as well as a diverse technical team

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to significant amounts of change in work assignments and priorities

·         5 + years hands on experience with HP testing technology ( i.e QTP, QC, ALM, UFT, etc.) or equivalent

·         5+ years of web services automation experience with Soap UI Pro, SOA Test or equivalent

·         5+ years of automation scripting experience (VB Script or equivalent)

·         5+ years of experience with SQL Queries

·         3+ years of experience with building or maintaining an automated test framework is required

·         Experience working with JSON, XML, SOAP APIs

·         Exposure to Continuous Deployment

·         B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent 5+ years of related or similar experience

·         5+ years of experience coordinating offshore resources
