Technical Skills & Knowledge:  

 

Primary Skills: DB2, Servlets, J2EE, Applets, Java, Perl, JDBC, Spring Security

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Java/JEE, Spring/Struts/JSF, Hibernate, JDBC, HTML, JavaScript,

• Experience in various integration mechanisms like FTP, Messaging, MQ (WebSphere MQ and Sonic MQ), SOA, Web Services, etc

• Good knowledge of databases like Oracle/DB2/MySQL

• Migrating large Java applications from UNIX platforms such as Solaris, AIX, HP-UX to Linux

• Lead the process of defining the target architecture for Java application migration

• Assess source application functionality and design

• Analyze and understand migration requirements

• Identifying suitable tools to use in the migration

• Develop migration strategy

• Analyze migration issues and dependencies

• Troubleshoot and resolve Java based applications issues

• Develop and maintain JUnit tests

• Work with peers to assist with resolutions Mandatory Skills:

• Strong migration experience of Java applications from UNIX platforms such as Solaris, AIX, HP-UX to Linux

• Experience in migration of Java applications across application servers (Weblogic/Websphere to JBoss)

• Awareness of application migration issues such as OS dependencies, server configuration dependencies, etc

• Good programming experience
