Position : Sr. Cobol Developer 

Location : Irvine, CA.

Duration: 1 year

Skills required:

• Must have Fixed Income / Financial Services experience
  
• Knowledge of accounting software applications - must have experience with front-office trading transactional instruments.
  
• Over seven years of Mainframe Cobol development experience.
  
• Microfocus Cobol- possible port over to Net Cobol (other open source platforms) (still a PC/ Unix Environment)
  
• Strong Sybase skills required, currently using Sybase 12.5 and upgrading to Sybase 15. J2EE/ Java programming skills desirable. In-house application has J2EE / Java based add on apps needing updates and enhancements.
  
• UNIX experience and UNIX shell scripting. The ideal candidates will have UNIX experience and UNIX shell scripting as the client's COBOL programs run on UNIX and the batch jobs are written in C Shell.
