Start Date:       12/01/2014      End Date: 04/30/2015

 

Explanation for Position: Replacement req. Replacement will assist in testing the ORION 2.0 project.

 

Details of Position:

Executes Information Services (I.S.) Quality Assurance (QA) processes with

moderate guidance. He/She identifies problems, generates alternatives, and

recommends solutions within defined processes. This position documents the

progress of assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met. He/She collaborates

effectively with QA team members, application developers, software vendors,

consultants, user communities, and test environment technical support staff in the

execution of testing procedures. This position supports testing efforts of small to

medium complexity. The Quality Assurance Tester is knowledgeable of the key

processes and technology within the business functions he/she supports. The

desired Quality Assurance Tester will possess a degree in Computer Science,

Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or the equivalent in

education and work experience.

 

Management Skills:

This position assists in testing components of small to medium complexity projects

and may report progress to key stakeholders. This position will collaborate with the

Lead QA to estimate project testing costs and resource needs. Will manage and

implement internal projects that include the communication of plans, schedule,

baselines, and metrics to stakeholders and the team; manages progress to plan

and makes necessary adjustments; and employs management tools and

technologies appropriately.
