Position : Cobol - ETL developer

Location : Montvale, NJ

Duration : 12 months

 

Required Skills:

Requirement: Analyze, design, code, test and document new and existing Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) programs for Data Warehouse. The candidate must be proficient in COBOL and DB2 z/OS SQL with demonstrable experience in all stages of application development life cycle. Cognos and/or Control-M experience a plus. Provide technical support for production Data Warehouse applications and ETL processes. Troubleshoot system issues reported by Help Desk, I.T., or end users. The candidate will be required to work in a team environment. He or she will be expected to learn the architecture of the existing applications, review requirements documents, create technical design documents, develop, deploy and document technical solutions. Required Knowledge and Skills: ¿ Excellent written and oral communication skills are extremely important ¿ Real time experience supporting production Data Warehouse applications. ¿ 3 years of experience with COBOL, preferably in ETL processing ¿ Experience in working with SQL on UDB / DB2 for z/OS database applications ¿ Bachelor¿s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
