Position: JAVA/J2EE Architect

Location: Foster City, CA

Duration: 6-9 Months, high possibility of extension

Rate:         Open

 

Responsibilities:
• Deployment and tuning of exposure in application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, (High Availability Solutions), JMS, MQ Messaging and Java Web Services using AXIS, JAX-WS, etc
• design database schemas and write fine-tuned queries and stored procedures for various databases including Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.
• Designing (High Level and Low Level) for J2EE applications using UML and various J2EE/OO Design patterns meeting performance, security requirements
• Must be able to perform system and integration testing.

 

Requirements:
• Total Experience: 8-10+ years
• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
• Java, Spring, Hibernate, Webservices,Threading, Architecture.
• Enterprise and Application Architecture and Design Experience [All layers of a J2EE application]
• Excellent knowledge of Core Java (1.5/1.6), J2EE, Other frameworks like Hibernate (2.x/3.x), Struts (1.x/2.x), Spring (2.x/3.x), EJB, JPA, XML, AJAX
• Experience in XML technologies and in XML parsing using tools such as JAXB, JiBX, XMLBeans, Unix/Linux environment for development, deployment and tuning, etc.
• Must be proficient in JMS, MQ Messaging and Java Web Services using AXIS, JAX-WS, etc.
• Experience in designing (High Level and Low Level) for J2EE applications using UML and various J2EE/OO Design patterns meeting performance, security requirements
• Good to have hands-on development experience in Flex, Velocity, JQuery, Ext-Js and GWT (preferred).
• Portal experience will be an added advantage.
