Client is looking for a Sr. Database Administrator to handle multiple(currently 15) enterprise projects from design, implementation, tuning, maintenance, Performance tuning and configuration to also being the technical lead. This resource is needed to develop enterprise wide solutions designs and develop standards and best practices. A leader, mentor , project management ability are qualities to name a few. Lead current migration from SQL server 2008 to 2012.
The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management. Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Database Administrators have a range of skills and knowledge of the utilities and production tools used for data storage management to support the Application Team.
Skills Needed:
Experience as a technical lead on multiple projects running concurrently Required 7 Years
Experience installing, tuning, maintaining SQL SERVER RDBMS software Required 7 Years
Experience Performance tuning and configuration on multiple platforms Required 7 Years
Experience with data modeling and working with multidimensional models Required 7 Years
Experience implementing data warehouses and data marts Required 7 Years
Experience defining data warehouse/business intelligence needs Required 7 Years
Experience implementing business intelligence tools and user interfaces i Required 7 Years
Experience with data migrations and business process monitoring Required 7 Years
Experience with analysis, development of database strategies to support business needs Required 5 Years
Experience with analytic applications implementations Required 5 Years
Experience designing standards for exchange of data between systems, data security models Required 7 Years
Experience in Project planning Required 5 Years
Experience mentoring , both formal and non formal activities, leadership for peers and additional staff Required 5 Years
Experience creating documentation of installations, monitoring, migration procedures Required 5 Years
Experience creating documentation of security policies, configuration changes and best practices for development teams Required 5 Years
Excellent communication skills, both with peers and executive leadership Required 7 Years
