Position: Network and Security Design Engineer

Locations: OHIO 2 positions Maryland 4 postions
Duration: 12+ months

Seeking a Network Security Engineer to conduct site surveys for a highly visible project. The selected candidate needs to be a high functioning Network Security Engineer with extensive experience in Cisco and Juniper products to include switches, routers, firewalls, etc. The candidate will need to have the acumen to conduct interviews with various groups to be able to collect data necessary to analyze network security & architecture for possible upgrade and to evaluate risk to close any gap at each site. The candidate will work with both Physical and Logical maps to develop questionnaires to solicit information crucial to the project. Additionally the candidate will need to have excellent documentation skills to be able to document configuration manuals, SOP's, written recommendations, etc.

 

To Qualify:

·         7 – 12 years of extensive Network Engineering experience

·         Demonstrable experience with Network Security

·         High level of ability to gather information in a one on one setting to evaluate and analyze information

·         High functioning documentation experience

·         Prior experience in network risk assessment

·         Prior experience with Greenfield projects

·         Experience with the following hardware:

o   Servers, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers

o   Cisco ASA 5500 Series

o   3900 Series Routers

o   W3750X Switches

o   Juniper SRX 1400 Firewall

o   F5 2000S Load Balancers

·         Experience with the Tool Sets for these systems, specifically "Cisco Works"

·         Bachelor's Degree Required preferably in Engineering or Information Technology Disciplines is required

Highly Desired:

·         Cisco Certifications is preferred
