Job Description :


• 10+ years creating and troubleshooting reusable modular based processes and functions
• Developing code for and releasing code into a mission critical environment adhering to best practice development and migration procedures
• Experience using a source control tool such as CVS, Subversion
• Expert level knowledge working in UNIX / Linux environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding the benefits of the various programming languages and platforms
• Understands complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs
• Effectively employs many different database design techniques
• Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one relational database management system
• Advanced documentation and modeling skills
• 5+ years working within Financial Services industry – Risk Management discipline

Platforms/Languages/Concepts:
The candidate must demonstrate expert knowledge of various programming languages and concepts including:
• Java technologies (including Java EE / Seam / JSF), PHP, AJAX
• UNIX / Linux / Red Hat, Shell
• Advanced knowledge of application development in Oracle 10g/11g Enterprise Edition
• Advanced SQL (PL/SQL and ANSI SQL)
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, Sybase
• Data Warehousing principles
• Source control (CVS, SubVersion)
• Integration with enterprise scheduling tools such as IBM TWS, Autosys, Control M, etc.

Knowledge of:
• XML, XSLT, Html
• Web Services (SOAP, WSDL)
• ModPerl, Perl CGI
• Apache Tomcat
• Windows based development (MS Office VBA/.Net, ODBC) a plus
• Risk Management (Market and Credit), Front office processing
• Exchange traded and OTC derivative products
• ETL Processes and applications such as Informatica
