Position : ETL Architect
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Duration: 12 Months+
Job Description --: ETL Architect
The candidate must be a self-starter, who can work under general guidelines in a fast paced work environment. Previous ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) experience using IBM Information server 8.x tool is a must. Experience with any other ETL tool like Informatica is a plus.
Below are the detailed Role and Responsibilities for this position:
Responsibilities:
· Perform technical analysis and prepare recommended ETL design approach
· Participate in a team environment for the design, development and implementation of data warehouse projects.
· Be able to work on multiple projects at a time and be self-motivated.
· Lead and drive a small team including onshore/offshore members responsible for ETL jobs development, debugging and testing to meet project time lines.
· Prepare and present ETL design to onsite DW architects (Internal design review) and BIS design panel.
· Work closely with development manager to finalize on estimated/actual project completion dates for ETL design, development, testing and production roll.
· Work with BIS project managers to finalize on estimated/actual project completion dates.
· Prepare and validate end to end business logic and mappings.
· Develop ETL Job as per design, prepare unit test cases, prepare test data and perform unit testing
· Perform final code review before moving to SIT environment and fix issues in warranty phase
· Prepare detailed design, architecture, mapping sheet and other ETL documents/artifacts
· Resolve all technical issues raised during SIT/UAT/ Warranty phases
· Prepare root cause corrective action document for the ETL issues.
· Participate in IBM Information Server Admin activities (team based)
Required
Skills:
· 5-10 years of Data Warehousing experience
· Minimum of 3 years "hands on" ETL development experience with IBM Data Stage Tool
· Minimum of 1 year experience with IBM Information Server admin activities
· Minimum of 2 years of ETL Solutions Architect Experience (Designing ETL jobs/flows )
· Minimum of 2 year experience with any Relation Database. DB2 a plus
· 1-2 years of Unix scripting experience
· 2- 3 years of PL/SQL
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Data Stage jobs/ code debugging and performance improvement skills
