SAP BW HANA Architect

Location: Houston, TX, USA
Duration: 6 Months +

 

Job Description

The SAP BW HANA Architect will be a senior resource in the SAP BW 7.4 migration to HANA project and subsequent optimization of BW objects based on HANA architecture

Must-Have

1.    Experience with at least 1 SAP BW on HANA migration, architecture design and implementation

2.    Overall SAP BW on HANA system architecture design and performance optimization

3.    Experienced as SAP BI/BW Architect and hands-on developer of both traditional BW and BW on HANA

4.    Review business requirements and translate into a SAP BW HANA architectural design. Provide options and recommendations.

5.    Review deliverables and ensure conformation to the initial designs and that the blueprint is updated to reflect any significant changes

6.    Define the Design Documents for the BW HANA Models

7.    Implement SAP BW HANA Security including User Management, Roles, and Privileges

8.    Design and develop extractors, DSOs, cubes and reports including the use of ABAP where necessary.

9.    Develop BW HANA migration and optimization work plans

10.  Lead and participate in the creation of BW HANA development standards while adhering to department policies, methodologies, standards, and guidelines.

11.  Proactively and effectively communicate potential problems, recommended solutions and progress.

12.  Experience with SAP HANA Data Administration including managing schemas, data model objects, import/export content 

13.  Experience designing and delivering complex SAP BW/BI enterprise solutions for global organizations

14.  Experience with SAP BW 7.x data modeling, data flow design (LSA design), data structures, security concepts, best practice and code migration through development, QA and Production.

15.  Experience with ETL tools (such as Data Services) to extract both SAP and non-SAP data

 

Nice-to-Have

1.    SAP Budget Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and/or ABAP Development

2.    SAP Business Objects, including dashboards and KPI reporting

3.    ECC experience is a plus

4.    SAP HANA Certification is a plus.
