Description:
- Consults with clients and other project team members to design, build and manage websites.
- Develops installation programs for websites.
- May negotiate contracts/agreements with software vendors and other internet companies.
- May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures (i.e., SQL, C++, HTML, CGI and JavaScript).
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
Required Skills: SQL Server Application DBA 2008 R2
Responsibilities :
- Candidates must have application development background and hands on experience with SQL Server 2008 and higher
- Strong in SQL Server database architecture and best practices
- Ability to provide architectural solutions and resolve complex database issues
- Assist with database design to allow for effective ETL and Web Services for BI
- Interface with the customer on system requirements
- Assist Technical Application Management team with management of applications dependent on MS SQL Server
- Interface with and direct Data Center Systems DBA team for management of MS SQL Servers
- Applications include Brave Point Pro2 MS SQL consolidated target database, Radley X/DC and others
- Experience managing large, high transaction volume SQL databases in a multiple MS SQL Instance/multi-data center hosted environment
- Manage schema, indexes, partitions, etc. as required to provide an effective application environment
- Strong query optimization, performance tuning and performance monitoring skills
- Troubleshoot application level performance and optimize database/application performance
- Proven trouble shooting/debugging skills with ability to isolate/resolve problems
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly and communicate proposed solutions
- Capable of working independently to solve problems under pressure and to manage multiple projects/priorities under time constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain supportive relationships within a team environment
