This System Analyst position is for.

Duration of contract period is minimum 6-9mos

contract to hire

 

Preferred experience would be someone with:

- experience with sql, database, workflow management
- retail/ecommerce and experience with product photography/digitization a plus

Criteria for requirement

Experience with product workflow management systems and business understanding of online product photography workflow

Java background, ability to write scripts/SQL. Ability to work with distributed teams Offshore and San Francisco, New York

They have found some success with identifying individuals that come from a Software Engineering or developers that do not want to code any longer. The person will have to be able to look at code, and interpret it, however, no coding at all will be required.

The manager looks at this role as a technical BA type person. The individuals should have a good understanding of databases, be able to write the technical requirements, take the functional specifications, know Java and write scripts/SQL.

The person will interface and work closely with the architects, and developers and produce the deliverables needed. Will also work closely with the QA teams for testing and help them guide through technical questions they will have. Be able to negotiate and communicate effectively.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

· Experience with product workflow management systems and business understanding of online product photography workflow

· Self-motivated, highly driven, result and commitment oriented. Builds strong working relationship with product managers, business support analysts, project managers, architects, development and QA teams.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills to set and meet deadlines on technical aspects of projects

· Monitors system implementation and user satisfaction. Shows good judgment in escalating issues to management.

· Good understanding of business process flows and how the systems support them. Ability to analyze and leverage from existing system architecture/solutions to support multiple business applications and tool.

· Leverages systems and process expertise across a domain to analyze and troubleshoot system/user issues to determine root cause and drive resolution within a fast pace development cycles environment.

· Leverages experience in assessing scope of work, decomposing high level business requirements and developing lower level stories/tasks.

· Creates, owns and maintain system design documentation following standard templates.

· Assists QA and development teams in defining test strategy, acceptance criteria, bug fixing and issue resolution

· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and execute with consistent delivery and quality

· Worked in an Agile development environment

· Experience in retail and Ecommerce

 

Skills Summary:

· BS in CS or MIS, or Engineering.

· 5+ years of experience analyzing, clarifying and translating business/functional requirements into system requirements / specifications.

· 3+ years of experience with the following technologies/platforms required: Java EE, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web services.

· 1+ year of experience in working on root cause analysis and code debugging

· 3+ year of experience in creating system interface specifications

· 3+ year of experience in documenting current and future states system process flow.

· 3+year of experience documenting Systems Architecture Diagrams

· 3+ year of experience in database management and integration

· Knowledge of Search, workflow management and content management

· Online product, pricing & promotion management, digital assets management a plus
