Need IBM Websphere Application Server Support Consultant @ MN

We have an urgent requirement of Senior IBM Websphere Application Server Support Consultant with one of our direct client in MN.

 

Contract Position: IBM Websphere Application Server Support Consultant

 

Location: St. Paul, MN

 

Duration: 12 months

 

 

 

Experience/Skills Required

 

·         5+ years of direct WebSphere administration and design experience.

 

·         Expertise in creating repeatable processes, reliable, scalable WebSphere architectures with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery.

 

Troubleshoot, optimize, monitor, maintain, upgrade, configure, deploy and ensure ongoing availability of WAS, on Windows Server.

Define, document and implement WebSphere architecture, strategy, direction.  This requires extensive and broad functional experience with monitoring, problem diagnosis (explaining results), hardware utilization and application management systems, across a wide range of complex architectures, to include an extensive VMware virtualized environment, in which most of the server infrastructure functions.

Look for ways to provide improvements to existing WAS services. Make written recommendations (with Pros|Cons and options identified), define the ROI, and plan the implementation of these improvements, using the change control process.

Define and adhere to standards and best practices for WAS design, testing, implementation, and creation of appropriate levels of system documentation

·         Expert working knowledge (including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot WebSphere).

 

·         Understanding of network security, Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), and authentication.

 

·         Experience supporting Windows products/systems/applications utilizing Active Directory architecture.

 

·         Experience is utilizing WebSphere on Windows Server.

 

·         Certifications a plus
