QA Tester
Location – Minneapolis MN – must be L O C A L
Need: Health care
Description:
The QA Tester will have working knowledge of HP Quality Center. This candidate should have experience with Web based, Client Server, and ODBC applications.
Responsible for the following: executing test cases, troubleshooting failures, logging defects, and regression testing test cases.
Functions:
· Create test cases as needed from scenarios; this may include conceptualizing and developing functionality requirements.
· Execute high volumes of functional test cases provided by IT and the business.
· Identify and report quality assurance, testing issues, and defects.
· Other duties as assigned.
Characteristics:
· Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Must possess a quality assurance and testing mindset that will help the project deliver a quality implementation for the client.
· Must have or be able to develop knowledge and understanding of payer product functionality and the client's internal business processes.
· Must be able to work and be successful in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Required:
· At least 2 year of experience in a consulting role.
· At least 2 year of experience in QA/Testing for Healthcare Payer Systems
· At least 2 year of experience creating test cases from requirements, specifications, and software design documents.
·Experience participating in quality assurance activities and/or testing for an enterprise application.
· Experience reporting, tracking, and testing product defects and the related procedures and tools.
· Would like to have a solid understanding of one or more of the following areas;
- Claims Processing
- Provider Demographic/Pricing
- Customer Service
- Enrollment/Billing
Preferred:
· 3 plus years experience testing, developing, or using software for the health care industry; such as systems for health plan administration or claims payment.
· Experience creating, maintaining, and executing tests using HP's Quality Center or equivalent product.
