| Description | Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing complex information modeling solutions across multiple projects. This person collaborates with database, data warehouse and business intelligence platforms team to develop solutions that will support long term business needs. This person partners with application development team to understand their requirements and ensure the creation of solutions that will support their needs. This position will be responsible for managing projects, budgets and resource planning related to establishing Enterprise Data model. The individual must have proven implementation experience in domain data modeling (UML), ODS, ETL, XML and MDM. An individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate at any level.
Supervising Responsibility:
The Information modeling effort focuses on strategy, design, implementation and support for the TW enterprise data model and related artifacts. The Information Modeler will work closely with the database team, BI platform team and subject matter authorities to understand their requirements and contribute to the development and continual improvement of a Domain Data Model. The data model will be used for implementation to ensure development efforts align with the Enterprise Architecture and future transformation efforts within the TW Shared Service community. The Information Modeler will lead the analysis, review and approval process of domain data models. This includes the creation and evaluation of both Logical and Physical data models and their associated data element definitions, encoding rules and business rules. The position will support Enterprise standards activities, including researching and evaluating data standards, collaborating with subject matter authorities, and reviewing systems engineering plans to ensure compliance with and adherence to stated policies and standards. Information Architect will define, own and administer Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) related to the enterprise domain data model (EDM).
Job Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, deploy and support Enterprise Data Domain Model
- Develop and maintain ELDM artifacts in all relevant places: Logical Data Models (LDM), Enterprise Data Model (EDM),
- Data Element Dictionaries (DED), Physical Data Models (PDM), Interface Control Documents (ICD), data format specifications, model release documentation, user guides, data harmonization and mappings.
- Formulate, implement and manage overall Master Data Management (MDM) strategy toolset
- Formulate, implement and lead overall Data Governance strategy, standards and process
- Coordinate, meet, and hold Technical Peer Reviews with Subject Matter Authorities and Stakeholder communities to discuss and perform requirements and impact analysis to understand the data elements in their domains, relationships among those elements and interdependencies between models.
- Budget and project management. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Provide expertise in data harmonization and data modeling activities to support requirements and provide data modeling consulting to help Data Domain stakeholders develop new high quality data models and formats for exchange and storage in an agile fashion.
- Aid in R & D projects, inclusive of product comparison, evaluation, selection, and justification
- Assist in the mentoring and coaching of peers and junior associates
- Collaborate with Data platform team for solutions and roadmaps related to data warehouse, business intelligence and integration platforms
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Certified Information Modeler professional is preferred
- Certified Business Intelligence professional is preferred
- Oracle certified Database administrator is a plus
Experience:
- 7+ years hands-on experience as a Database administrator and SQL coding (Oracle, SQLServer)
- 7+ years hands on experience with master data management, load and migration architecture
- 7+ years experience with various Data Warehouse solutions
- 7+ years of hands on experience with domain object modeling(UML), dimensional modeling and XML technologies(XSDs and schemas, and XML generation)
- 7+ years of hands on experience with integrations and ETL tools (Informatica preferred)

- Informatica, Business Objects, Domain Object Modeling (UML), Data Warehousing/Data Mart Architecture, Dimensional
- Modeling: Star Schema & Snow Flake, System Integrations, ETL, Master Data Management(MDM), Load & Migration
- Architecture, XML technologies, data modeling tools(acqua data preferred)
A Plus:
- OLTP, Web, and Federated Database Design, Oracle 10G RAC & Database Tuning, Rational Unified Process (RUP), UNIX
- Shell Scripting, Real Time Messaging (Tibco)
Skills:
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and being proactive in solving issues

- Information data modeling and design skills for data domain model and business intelligence platform are required with proven record of accomplishments
