Title          :  Senior Release Manager

Location   :   Milwaukee, WI

Duration   :  6 months

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         Provide management oversight of the entire release process, including delegation of responsibilities to all personnel supporting the release/cutover.
·         Develop detailed cutover plans.  (Including Environments.)
·         Coordinate with all delivery teams that are associated with the release/cutover.
·         Facilitate team communication to make sure the release is implemented according to the schedule.
·         Make sure all required regression testing activities were conducted successfully.
·         Plan and Conduct Mock and Production Cutovers.
·         Make sure a comprehensive back-out plan exists and was validated.
·         Make sure all affected parties are aware of the release schedule and expected effect, if any, on current operations.
·         Make sure the release/cutover is deployed according to the release plan. 
·         Monitor the production environment post-release for any unexpected situations, and make sure remedial action is taken as quickly as possible.
·         Conduct a post-release evaluation meeting to discuss issues and identify improvement opportunities.
·         Develop and communicate release/cutover status and, if necessary, hierarchically escalate issues to management in a timely manner.
