Client is looking for a talented and motivated User Experience Researcher to provide user research and testing on current enterprise applications.  In this position, you will be working within a team of UX Researchers, UX Designers, and Visual Designers to evolve the enterprise application used by retail and customer support employees. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to help build out User Experience as a solid part of the product development lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent research on how customer care and retail associates use the internal customer account software
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through web metrics, interviews, prototype testing, onsite and remote lab studies, and surveys
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of user research at various stages of the design and development lifecycle
  • This is a hands-on role, and includes writing research plans, recruitment (or recruitment coordination), moderating of sessions, development of summary reports and presentations, and delivery of findings/recommendations to designers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the user experience team and Senior User Experience Researcher to establish a strong usability methodology process
  • Evangelize the purpose and value of UX research, and evangelize research findings to diverse constituencies

 

Qualifications / Skills: 

  • 2+ years working in the field of user research, with particular emphasis on usability testing, in a professional/corporate setting. 
  • Bachelors degree preferred in the field of HCI, Human Factors, Usability Engineering or related field
  • Experience planning and executing different types of user experience research activities such as customer visits, contextual inquiries, requirements gathering activities, concept testing, early prototype testing, usability testing, and customer surveys 
  • Understanding of theories and principles of user-centered design 
  • Well versed in a variety of usability testing and research methods
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills 
  • Ability to work as team member
  • Outstanding written, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
  • Organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced setting
