Requirements Details:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize Ajax (Jquery) CSS, XML and XHTML/HTML to develop best-in-class interactive experiences that are engaging, production-ready and cross-browser compatible; leveraging data derived from RESTful web services and other sources.
- Consult with visual designers, interaction designers, and web developers to brainstorm and prototype rich cross-browser, device-adaptable customer experiences.
- Collaborate closely with visual and interaction designers to translate their designs into high-fidelity realizations in client-side code.
- As part of an engineering team, work closely with server-side developers to develop highly-structured and highly-standardized, modular approaches to creating websites and components which can be deployed across multiple Autodesk web applications, promoting a consistent and unified user experience that can be easily re-branded.
- Review client-side applications created by external contractors and other internal teams to ensure these deliverables follow Autodesk best-practice and quality guidelines.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in JavaScript, CSS, and XHTML/HTML development for highly-branded customer-facing web applications.
- Experience creating professional results with client-side interactive frameworks
- Excellent knowledge of jQuery
- Knowledge and skills in the creation of high-performance, cross-browser client-side code that is robust, scalable, and cacheable.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop using a highly-disciplined and structured approach, ensuring long-term maintainability and re-usability
- Demonstrated ability to create well-documented code and documentation for other team members and other teams.
- Experience working on a Scrum team in an Agile work environment
- Experience collaborating with designers and server-side (e.g. Java) engineers
- Experience working with version control (e.g. CVS, SVN, Git)
Desired Knowledge/Skills:
- Passion for staying up-to-date with best-practices and developments in the web design community by reading publications and learning from other web professionals
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
- Familiarity with mobile web design and development
- Experience with social media technology
