Description:
The Oracle Applications Technical Lead is responsible for the functional suppport of Oracle EBS, development and support activities of all reporting applications. Based on EHSI client needs, this position determines the most effective and efficient way to provide information. Current technologies include: Oracle Applications Rel 12, Oracle Discoverer, Noetix, PL/SQL, QA Framework,and BI Publisher.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintains existing Oracle R12 applications (GL, AP, FA, CM, iExpense and iProcurement).
Suggests process improvement where deemed essential.
2. Leads the Oracle ERP patching effort and implements the instance strategy.
2.3. Reviews and refines reporting design, coding, documentation and maintenance standards.
4. Develop reports using Oracle Application, HTML, PL/SQL and Oracle Discoverer, BI Publisher to meet EHSI business and reporting requirements on the Oracle Application and Discover Workbooks.
5. Supports existing reports and develops new reports.
6. Provides support to users related to reporting technology including multiple high priority user support issues and problem request logged by the help desk.
7. Studies and learns existing data structures. Conduct research and root cause analysis related to data inquiries.
8. Writes interfaces from external systems utilizing Oracle standard APIs in addition to writing custom forms and reports using Oracle developer suite.
9. Develop and maintain reporting standards, best practices, and system and end-user documentation for both technical and business users.
10. Designs, plans, and execute required test scenarios/plans to ensure complete testing is accomplished on all new and changed components.
11. Collaborates with end-users, other IT technical resources and/or Oracle support to troubleshoot problems and resolve application issues.
12. Conduct knowledge transfer to other IT and business personnel.
Experience:
8 years Oracle Functional support in the Financial modules, 5 years SQL and/or PL/SQL experience and Oracle database experience that includes Oracle Discoverer experience and a year or more of Oracle Framework experience is a must.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
HTML experience is required. Experience with Reporting concepts, standards and best practices. System/process documentation experience. Experience with data integrity concepts and data standardization. XML Publisher and JAVA experience. OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) experience is a plus.
