Job Titile:Business Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 6+ months
Experience Required:
• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst
• Ability to lead requirements definition and design sessions through use of interviews, surveys, user workshops, product/prototype demo's, etc. Ability to drive solution design decisions by utilizing a solid understanding of the business problem combines with technical business intelligence expertise.
• Proven experience completing deliverables such as use cases, data flow diagrams, data value maps, report specifications with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members and senior management.
• Demonstrated use of project management skills in either an Agile methodology to drive projects from requirements to on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Ability to write SQL queries to use in requirements analysis and data validation testing.
• Proven track record of managing and meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality services and project artifacts.
• Ability to present information, analysis, ideas, and positions in a clear and convincing manner to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to build working relationship within and between teams in order to elicit requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries.
• Recognizing and mapping business benefits to business processes and user stories. Convert user stories to business requirements and acceptance test cases.
• Design and lead execution of all testing activities as required for all testing cycles, including internal data validation, quality assurance testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and anticipate team needs along with ability to operate and promote an environment of teamwork.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong organization skills, ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Experience Preferred:
• Experience with requirements management, test management and defect management tools (i.e. Rally, Quality Center).
