Job Description:

Responsibilities:

 

Consults with functional groups within the IS organization to communicate and clearly define business needs, contribute to the long- range system plans and ensure application / system services are aligned with business needs. Solicit customer requirements thru interviews and/or workshops and/or existing system documentation / processes. Evaluate requirements for enterprise business application integration, service activation and delivering new or modified software system enhancements and/or integration solutions.

Conducts and analyzes business and information technology processes and prepares essential groundwork. Keeps project managers, application directors, relationship managers, consultants and other stakeholders informed of project status. Document and communicate all scope changes, potential risk and other issues of importance. Participate on mid-level to complex projects that are within the business unit. Business unit project scope includes medium risk and medium to high dollar value. May also lead department level projects whose scope includes low to medium range risk and dollar value.

Leads technical and functional efforts associated with the

implementation and maintenance of customized functional solutions that meet corporate-wide needs; Consults with business unit project sponsors to plan and perform the analysis of complex company activities and/or functions, and guides the subsequent design and implementation or improvement of existing systems.

Studies and tests the interactions between systems to take advantage of new or more effective ways of providing needed information. Develop and conduct systems requirements, definition, testing, training, implementation and support; works with IS technical colleagues to conduct and analyze preliminary business and information technology processes and to prepare groundwork to meet customer technology needs.

Uses industry and project management standard analysis techniques such as: data flow modeling, use-case analysis, work flow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, data modeling and object modeling to assess client/customer requirements and develop test schedules.

Review test plans, track/document results, and make recommendations to IS and business unit management accordingly. Documents the results of analysis activities using appropriate templates or analysis tools; creates modifies and maintains procedures, process flow charts and reports using various report writing and presentation tools. Develops documents and maintains best practices, project standards, procedures, application quality objectives and "lessons learned" including metrics for assessing progress. Ensure that applications systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.

Acts as a liaison, between IS and assigned functional business units; maintains effective working relationships, ensures customer's technology support needs are addressed effectively and efficiently. Maintains an appropriate level of communications, interaction and follow-up with business unit to pro actively identify and make recommendations to address needs and resolve issues.

Perform other duties such as keeping Project management and Service request systems up to date with all information related to current projects / service requests. Assure SDLC process adoption and documentation for all projects / service requests. Meet with business leads to prioritize the service requests by providing the estimates and educating the customers / business of the benefits and impacts.

Responsible for the day-to-day support coordination of: Hyperion Suite of applications (that include HFM, FDM, WFP, ESSBASE, Budget & Financial Planning), Audit & Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Systems (Oracle GRC Manager), SAP, TAX applications (Vertex O series & L series, ADP Taxware). Performs required analysis and provides technical / functional advice and direction regarding the interface/integration with the rest of the application portfolio; analyzes how the supported applications can best serve business functions; recognizes the impact to the business of proposed applications changes and advises IS colleagues accordingly.

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent job experience.

Strong Financial/Accounting systems background

6 + years job specific work experience

In-depth technical / functional knowledge, with hands-on

experience managing systems development in new computing architectures and environments; emphasis on Oracle, SQL Database, MS Access Database,

Client/Server architecture, and understanding of the Lotus Notes Domino application environment

Project management/SDLC experience

Experience with one or all of applications:

Hyperion Financial/Planning & Budgeting is a requirement

Oracle GRC Manager – SOX Compliance is a plus

SAP ECC is a plus
