Title            :         SAP XI / PI Basis Administrator

Location     :         Sunnyvale CA
Duration     :         6+ months contract

 

Job Summary:

 

As a senior SAP Basis Administrator, you will manage SAP Basis administration and technical core competencies tasks including: SAP software installation, upgrading, applying Support Packages, installation add-on software components, SAP profile parameter changes, performing workload and performance analysis, system error analysis and establishing standard Basis background jobs and system health checks and monitoring.You will provide advanced technical support to developers and cross-functional teams for SAP  XI/PI related products, including highly escalated issues.

 

Requirements:

 

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills

·        Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills.

·        Strong experience in SAP Netweaver XI/PI 7.0 SP14 Installation, Configuration and Administration for integrating SAP CRM with enterprise applications

·        Strong knowledge of Netweaver Java stack, synchronous (web services), asynchronous (JMS, file) methods via XI/PI for high volume data transfers and connectivity to TIBCO, Oracle SOA Suite.

·        Must have hands-on experience on different techniques to replatform/reinstall SAP XI, including system copy, using XI Installer etc.

·        Java proxy setup, SLD configuration, XI transports

·        Strong AIX/Unix Administration Skills

·        Strong skills in Oracle RDBMS

·        Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines.

·        Aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving issues even in unfamiliar environments.

·        Best practices and experience in application performance analysis and tuning

·        Knowledge of SOA strategies and best practices
Works well in a team environment and able to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.

·        Interfaces with support teams to provide technical expertise for issue resolution to maintain efficient operations.

 

Education:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the technical areas outlined is required. 
• A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree required; Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field is preferred. A Graduate Degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
