JOB Description: 

Title: Java Developer

Location: Shelton, CT

Duration: Long-term

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications to support business requirements.

• Work with other developers and architects in solving new and existing technical issues

• Work on existing product with ability to effectively analyze current functionality and recommend potential enhancements

• Ability to communicate and work with business analysts, functional users, & other developers to translate business requirements into technical ideas and ensure that code functionality meets requirements.

• Constantly strive to improve the quality and efficiency of code base and processes.

• Should use specialized knowledge of the client environment and company's products.

• Responsible to co-ordinate with end client contacts, client project managers and application owners.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 Good Java programmer with 4-6 years of experience

 Good understanding of JSON framework

 Has knowledge of integrating with API provided by third party

 Knowledge of RESTful Web Services (produce)

 Strong communication and leadership skills to work with multiple levels across the organization.

 Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills are a must.

 Good interpersonal skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

 Knowledge of Mongo DB

 Exposure to PMD tool

Educational Requirement: Bachelor'sDegree, or equivalent work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred.
