Position: Network Architect {TECHNO/FUNCTIONAL}
Location: Cleveland, OH or Pasadena, CA
Length: 3 months
Start Date: ASAP
Overview:
The consultant will provides Network (LAN/WAN) subject matter expertise with client to build understanding of the current state, future state and integration plan for the future state of Network Architecture. The Network Architect will provide leadership in direction-setting for next generation converged services, direction in the definition and maintenance of network voice and data services standards.
Requirements:
1. Must have 8-10 yrs Network Architecture SME { Network technology DNS, NAT Filtering, Firewall, Network Design }
i. Obtains the business and IT requirements, goals, expectations, and success parameters associated with the engagement.
ii. Performs a Gap Analysis & provide recommendations.
iii. Identifies and documents the top challenges and obstacles as collected from the interviews.
iv. Develops a high level strategic road map that addresses the findings, business and environmental challenges that may face in light of the changing risk and threat landscape.
2. Customer service experience with integration of infrastructure virtualization solutions with other platform technologies (i.e., Storage, Server, Network, Active Directory, Database, and other operating systems)
a. Prior experience in creating and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions in small and large environments.
b. Direct experience with some of the following service architectures: Google Web Services or Office 365
c. Familiarity with other infrastructure cloud products — CloudStack, Eucalyptus, VMware vCloud suite, etc. (PLUS)
3. Prior Experience lead teams of Network enginners is a huge plus
4. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator.
6. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
