IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW:SQL Server Developer with .net(TX,6+months)..


Location:   TX-Texas/Houston (Telephonic then Face to Face)
Duration:   6+Months



Required:

·      SQL Server 2000 More than 3 years; writing stored procedures, triggers, functions

·      SQL Server 2005 More than 5 years; writing stored procedures, triggers, functions

·      SQL Server Performance Tuning - Should be able to demonstrate real performance tuning capabilities with real-time examples

·      SSIS – Sql server Integration Services - More than 5 years; must have implemented large and medium sized ETLs

·      SSRS - Sql server Reporting Services - More than 3 years; must have implemented complex reporting formats like cross tab reports

MUST HAVES:

·      .NET 1.1 Framework - More than 3 years;

·      .NET 2.0 Framework - More than 5 years; Must have worked on at least project

·      .NET 3.0/3.5 Framework - More than 5 years; must have worked on at least one project

·      MVC - More than 3 years; Must have implemented MVC at least in one project

·      ASP.NET/Web application development - More than 3 years; must have worked on web applications

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Expected to trouble-shoot production issues for applications that impact the customer's ability to effectively utilize the software product. They are also expected to assist in deriving solutions that enhance the capabilities of existing applications, possess a variety of skills in order to work as an individual performer, as a member of a team, and assume the role of primary support in the development area.

·      Demonstrates advanced software development/programming techniques and methodologies

·      Demonstrate technical Competency, leveraging fluency in two or more instances within: programming languages, operating systems, application programming interfaces, data bases, and troubleshooting

·      Advanced knowledge in software development life cycle(Agile/Iterative Methodology), modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business or functional documents

·      Advanced knowledge in architecture standards and concepts, database and operating system concepts

·      Advanced knowledge in technical environments and protocols, building supportability into application design, cost-benefit analysis and selection of technology.

·      Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications.

·      Jointly develops practical implementation plans that consider cultural sensitivities with other accountable parties.

·      Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices;

·      Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise.

·      Ability to create design based on the requirements and designs to code realization.

·      Gain an understanding of the clients/customers' business and their current and potential use of technology.

·      Propose technology solutions to meet business needs and solve business problems.

·      Coordinate technology decision making across multiple business and technical groups.

·      Promote an awareness of quality within the team, and maintain the quality of services, deliverables, and content.

·      Identify and eliminate technical obstacles to meeting project or business objectives.

·      Assist in the efficient and effective transition of applications, or application modifications, from the development team to the support team(s).

QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience

·      Minimum 5+ years of experience required

·      Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.

·      Proficient PC skills; including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Technical Skills:

·      Development experience in a distributed Internet/Intranet environment desired.

·      Advanced level skills in .NET Framework (C#), ASP.NET, XML, Web Services and SOA, JavaScript

·      Strong Object Oriented Design skills and firm understanding of OO Principles. (classes, constructors, interfaces, properties, methods and events)

·      Data processing with structured data such as XML, XSLT

·      Experience working through the entire software development lifecycle:

·      Coding

·      Version Control

·      Unit Testing

·      Debugging

·      Building & Deployment

·      Experience developing unit tests (NUnit, visual studio test frame work)

·      Strong skills in Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 -- Database design and optimization, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, Stored Procedures, Indexing and relationships

·      Good understanding of ASP.NET User and Server Controls, ASP.NET HTTP pipeline and the life cycle of ASP.NET controls

·      Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 2003-2008 Server Infrastructure – IIS 6.0/7.5

·      Knowledge of software development and project management processes.
