Java Architect
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 6 Months
Client is seeking a Java developer/Architect for an application development project in the financial services sector.
Successful candidates for Java Architect positions will design, develop and implement new multi-tiered application functionality for Java banking applications.
The candidate will maintain existing Java code while adhering to appropriate coding standards, software development methodologies and process flows.
Required Skills
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years experience as a Java/J2EE Architect. For mid-level: 8 -10 years experience as a Java/J2EE; for senior level: 8+ yrs.
Experience with Java/J2EE applications, Spring framework, Struts, webservices, Websphere, IRAD and Oracle
Extensive experience with Java Architecture
Extensive experience with Design Patterns
Extensive experience with Re-Architecture
Systems analysis and functional design experience is required, along with a thorough knowledge of database concepts and relational databases
Financial services or banking industry experience is preferred
