Description

Candidate should possess senior level administrative knowledge in the support, architecture and implementation of UNIX/Linux servers. Must have extensive knowledge of VMware, Storage Area Networks, IBM UNIX and Red Hat Linux server support and management. Ability to work with diverse groups and to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately, clearly and concisely as well as the ability to transfer knowledge to management, peers, and functional teams is required.

 

Responsibilities

Review, Install, Maintain and test operating system and application software on Unix/Linux server platforms

Administer and tune Unix/Linux Servers for operating efficiency

Perform local security auditing and updates on Unix/Linux platforms

Assist with architecture and configuration of VMWare environment

Provide technical guidance to peers by inducting them in the maintenance and support of various component of multiprocessing systems hosted in the Unix/Linux environment

Assist with architecture, design and implementation of offsite data center for redundancy purposes

Assist with architecture and enhancements of distributed enterprise backup system
