Title: IT Project Manager / Analyst

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 12 months

Job Description 
This team is looking for someone with several years of experience as both an analyst and a project manager for software development programs.

 

Responsible:
- As project manager, you will be responsible for planning, and managing the execution of, diverse software projects revolving around technologies such as Jive, WordPress, Java, PHP, NoSQL, Node.js, and others.

- Intimate knowledge of all these technologies is NOT required, but a working understanding of how social media systems, services, and APIs is necessary. 
- This team is more aligned towards Scrum or XP methodologies, with less emphasis on process and more focus on "doing whatever it takes to get the job done". Being able to manage expectations with stakeholders and effectively communicate with both stakeholders and the development team is a key aspect of this role. 

Qualifications 
- BS Degree with 2+ years of experience as a business or IT analyst 
- 3+ years of experience as an IT or software development project manager at a large company or internet-related company 
- Experience managing projects that cut across multiple organization units and processes: stakeholder requirements, architecture, solution design, development, integration, QA, UAT, rollout, support 
- Excellent project management skills: planning, resource management, scheduling, expectation management, communications, issue resolution, change management, risk management 
- Experience and an affinity for smaller, nimble projects and teams 
- Strong comprehension of system design, especially systems and data that are integrated via web services and/or APIs 
- Working experience (as analyst, developer, or PM) with systems based on Java/J2EE, NoSQL DBs, Oracle DBs, JS, PHP
