Description:
This position is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of a single, scalable OBIEE 11G structure to support reporting and interagency information structures. Specifically, this position will:
· Provide technical support to BI OBIEE application delivery teams with environment requests to support development, test, QA, activities.
· Provide technical Support for OBIEE 11G environment including production control activities, point release upgrades, and or application software maintenance including software installs and upgrades, performance tuning, modification to application architecture. Test, document and deploy approved configuration changes.
· Provide OBIEE 11G technical problem analysis and solution development.
· Provide technical support and analysis for the full implementation of OBIEE 11G components including WebCenter, Publisher and specific OBIEE functionality such as MapViewer and Search capabilities.
· Assist in monitoring scheduled jobs Configuration Management, including the monitoring of BI Server tasks and components. Monitor system logs and performance indicators.
· Provide operational support in support of other technologies (e.g. Starting / Stopping IIS services or Oracle 11G Server Services) involved in all tiers of OBIEE/OBIA architecture from Physical to Presentation layers.
· Provide technical support for security deployment including SSO Configuration
· Provide Level 2 HelpDesk support and after-hours support coverage as needed.
· Provide transfer of knowledge and technical training to State ITS staff in the support and development of OBIEE 11G
· Work closely with engineers to design, implement and delegate components; provide accurate work estimates for proposed projects; and actively participate in resolving key issues that impact the performance of the product.
· Contribute ideas to improve product functionality, maintainability and/or performance of Data Warehouse product. Cross-train other data warehouse developers on product features. Analyze and recommend commercially available software. Utilize graduate-level research and analysis skills.
· Unix/Linux system administration duties including but not limited to: creation and support of scripts for task automation, OS patching and configuration, software installation and integration, performance troubleshooting and tuning, providing Unix/Linux technical support, test new products and services.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Six (6) years hands-on, demonstrated development experience with:
· OBIEE (Siebel) administration experience and OBIEE 11g install experience including OBIEE BI Analytics installs. Experience must demonstrate the ability to work without assistance and providing transfer of knowledge to other team members.
· Administration experience with Oracle WebLogic Server.
· Linux Administration experience.
Five (5) years hands-on, demonstrated development experience with:
· Linux Scripting
· Linux/Unix server back up and security, operations and troubleshooting, and understanding of network and distributed computing concepts
· Data Warehouse/ BI support experience
Two (2) years hands-on, demonstrated development experience with:
· Experience in monitoring OBIEE workflows in a production environment and debug-resolve issues. Strong ability in determining a rollout schedule, technical compatibility and integration issues.
· Siebel Analytics (OBIEE Suite) capacity planning and performance tuning of queries using proper indexes and Hints
· OBIEE 11G application including web catalog, WebCenter, and BI Publisher; and security administration and WebLogic doing web server administration in Oracle/Unix environment
· HP-UNIX including software installation, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and UNIX script writing. Strong working knowledge of SQL Server and SQL skills
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent work experience in
Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) 11g Development / Administration.
