Position:               Biztalk Developer

Location:              Seattle, WA

Duration:              6+  Months

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with Project Managers and business analysts in requirement definition and analysis.

Analyzes, designs, develops, and implements software solutions to address business needs.

Contributes to design discussions and creates design and architecture documents, as part of application development.

Performs peer design and code reviews.

Works with QA team to vet and review testing plans if needed.

Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams.

Provides technical support to project team members, including mentoring when needed.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Facilitates definition and implementation of I.T. procedures and standards which promote quality, productivity, and reliability of information systems.

Researches, analyzes, and apprises management of technology changes/ implications and makes recommendations.

Meets with users to identify requirements, troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Solid understanding of software design principles, methodologies and architectures, including SOA , Enterprise application integration, Agile and Sprint based approaches.
• Strong expertise in .Net platform and its suite of technologies, especially BizTalk.
• Experienced in developing Enterprise Service Bus and integration layers using platforms like BizTalk and other applications.
• Languages and Platforms
• C#
• ASP.Net
• .Net framework
• SQL Server & T-SQL
• WCF
• BizTalk Orchestration
• Power shell Scripting
• XML, XSD
• ETL Tools
• TFS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or technical discipline strongly preferred. Or equivalent experience in the software or IT services industry.

Required:

• Strong experience in designing and architecting enterprise level solutions using BizTalk and .Net.
• Ability to develop across all application tiers required.
• Strong web development skills are a plus.

Desired:

• 6-10+ years' experience in software development at the enterprise level.
• Experience in SOA and web-based architectures.
• Technical depth to provide architectural design guidance to develop scalable, secure, robust and fault-tolerant solutions.

Nice-to-have:

• Exposure to EDI and data mapping.
• Background and experience in web-development using Sitecore.
• Exposure to monitoring and instrumentation methods.
